PicknLink ("we", "us", "our") is a Caribbean home services marketplace operated by PicknLink Ltd., registered in Barbados. We connect customers with verified home service professionals across Barbados and the wider Caribbean.

2. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly
- Phone number — used for account creation and login via SMS verification
- Name — displayed on your profile and booking confirmations
- Email address — for receipts and account notifications (optional)
- Payment information — card details processed by Stripe; we never store your card number
- Service requests and booking details — description of work needed, photos, location
- Messages — communications between you and service professionals
- Reviews and ratings — feedback you provide after a job
Information collected automatically
- Location data — GPS coordinates when you use the map or book ASAP jobs (only while using the app)
- Device information — device type, operating system, browser version
- Usage data — screens visited, features used, time spent in app
- Push notification token — to send you booking updates and job pings

4. Location Data
We only access your location when:
- You open the map screen to find nearby professionals
- You book an ASAP job (to dispatch the nearest available pro)
- A service professional is navigating to your address
We do not track your location in the background. Location data is not sold to third parties.
5. Who We Share Data With
- Service professionals — your name, address, and job description when you book
- Stripe — payment processing (their privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy)
- Firebase / Google — app infrastructure, authentication, database (their privacy policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy)
- Law enforcement — if required by law or court order
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
6. Data Retention
- Account data — retained while your account is active
- Booking records — retained for 7 years (financial/tax requirements)
- Messages — retained for 2 years
- Location history — not retained after the booking is complete
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correction — update inaccurate information
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured format
- Object — to processing based on legitimate interest
- Withdraw consent — for marketing communications at any time

8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Firebase security rules restricting data access
- Phone number verification for all accounts
- PCI-DSS compliant payment processing via Stripe
- No storage of card numbers or CVV codes
9. Children's Privacy
PicknLink is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of significant changes via the app and email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
