What is a lead fee?

When a customer posts a job that matches your skills and service area, you receive a notification with the key details — the type of job, a brief description, the general parish, urgency and how recently it was posted. This preview is free. A lead fee is only charged if you decide you want to pursue the job and unlock the full description, any photo the customer attached, the exact address, and the customer's name, phone and direct messaging. You set your own quote once you're in contact — customers don't post a budget upfront.

Lead fees are non-refundable if a customer does not respond or selects another professional — the fee covers unlocking their contact details, not guaranteeing the job. However, if a job posting is found to be fraudulent or the customer cancels before any professional has unlocked their details, the lead fee is refunded in full.

Common questions

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. All plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time from your account settings. Your benefits remain active until the end of the current billing period — there are no cancellation fees and no loss of your profile, reviews, or job history.
Are lead fees refunded if I don't get the job?
Lead fees are not refunded simply because a customer chooses another professional. The fee is for unlocking the customer's contact details, not for guaranteeing the work. However, lead fees are refunded in full if the customer's job posting is removed due to fraud, if the customer cancels before any pro unlocks their details, or if there is a verified technical error on our platform.
What's included in the Pro and Pro Plus employee accounts?
Each employee account on the Pro plan (5 accounts) and Pro Plus plan (12 accounts) is a full PicknLink professional profile linked to your company. Employees can receive leads, manage jobs, and collect reviews independently under your company umbrella. All lead fees are billed to the company account.
What does the Pro Plus dedicated account manager do?
Your dedicated PicknLink account manager acts as a direct point of contact for your business. They help with profile optimisation, onboarding your team, advising on lead strategy, and ensuring you're getting the most from the platform. They're available by phone, email, and WhatsApp during business hours.
Are there any other fees I should know about?
No hidden fees. The only costs are your monthly subscription and the BBD $2 lead fee when you choose to unlock a customer's contact details. There are no setup fees, no annual fees, and no platform percentage taken from your earnings.
